You provide the machining knowledge and rates. Workbench keeps the calculations and records together.
01 · Estimate a part
Build a manufacturing route with setup, machining and labour assumptions. Include material, tooling and subcontract costs against your work centres.
02 · Understand material cost
Review whole-part yield, remnants, part-off and finishing allowances, plus adjusted material requirements and cost per part.
03 · Reuse quote history
Find saved parts and quotations by customer, part or material. Reopen the costing detail and prepare a detailed quotation PDF.
04 · Turn work into invoices
Record billable work, select a service period and prepare a branded invoice summary. Find previous documents in the invoice log.
05 · Use your company identity
Set company name, address, currency, hourly rate and payment terms. New documents use your profile; saved documents retain their recorded details.
06 · Choose software or remote support
Use Workbench for your own estimating work. If you want us to carry out quality or engineering work for you, explore Remote Quality & Engineering, quoted separately.
GOOD TO KNOW
Your questions, answered.
Can I buy and start immediately?
Early access is arranged through a demo. We confirm your workflow, successful account access and agreed terms before a paid subscription starts. The current pilot uses ChatGPT sign-in; there is no automatic public signup or checkout.
Does it calculate cycle times from a drawing?
You supply the machining route, setup and cycle-time assumptions. Workbench helps organise and cost those inputs. It does not automatically interpret engineering drawings or generate CNC programs.
Can my whole team share one workspace?
The current pilot supports one named user per company. Shared teams, invitations and role-based permissions are not yet included. Contact us to discuss future requirements.
Can I use it without internet?
No. Both the browser and Windows launcher connect to the online workspace. Unsaved edits are not an offline backup and are not queued for later upload.
Is it an ERP or statutory invoicing system?
It is an estimating and work-record tool. It does not provide stock control, production scheduling, accounting integrations or statutory invoice submission. Invoice summaries can be saved as PDF using your browser; tax treatment and any formal invoicing requirements remain part of your existing process.
What happens to quotes when I change my company details?
New documents use the updated profile. Existing saved quotations and invoices retain the company details and currency recorded when they were created.
